Introduction<\/h2>\n

Word is an easy-to-use word processing software that allows you to quickly create the designs that will be used to make your rubber stamps. In this tutorial we will create a design for the Trodat Printy 4912<\/a> with name and address. Screenshots are from the English version of Word 2016 <\/strong>on Windows. In older versions or on Mac, the features used may be in different menus.<\/p>\n

Preparation<\/h2>\n

4.<\/strong> The paper size must match the dimensions of the stamp<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

2.<\/strong> The \u201cMargins\u201d button in the \u201cLayout\u201d tab<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

  1. Open Microsoft Word and create a new document.<\/li>\n
  2. In the \u201cLayout\u201d tab of the ribbon, click on the \u201c\u00a0Margins\u00a0<\/strong>\u00bb and choose \u00ab\u00a0Custom Margins\u00a0<\/strong>".<\/li>\n
  3. A dialog box opens. In the fields Up, Right, Left <\/strong>and Down<\/strong> put 0.5mm.<\/li>\n
  4. Still in the same dialog box, click on the \u201c Page<\/strong>" In the fields Height and Width<\/strong> enter the dimensions that correspond to the stamp model you want; 47mm x 18mm in the case of the Trodat Printy 4912.<\/li>\n
  5. \u00a0Validate by clicking OK. A warning about the print area will probably appear on the screen. You can ignore it because it does not concern the use that will be made of the document.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    You can now compose your mockup which can include text, frames, tables or even images (black and white only). When you are finished, we recommend that you print your mockup for evaluation. Check that the text is readable and that there are no spelling mistakes.<\/p>\n
